Clarke Kent and Lois Lane kind of give me the spins. So much easier to keep up when they're in the same place, which they very much are, my lovelies. But wait! Didn't they break up? Ah! Who can keep track? Let's revisit the script-writers' road to what might be redemption...



Clarke Kent and Lois Lane got together. handsome alien, pretty girl! Then came the engagement and the possibility of genetically interesting offspring. But (oops!) Lois got all athletic with Lex Luther and...

Busted! Clarke goes off the rails. Lois makes her sniveling apology. Even so, news is that she's been seeing that Peter Parker dude for years, creepy - guy - well crawly at least. As for Clarke, well, he steps out lookin' miserable.



It's all over the world and still it doesn't make the pages of The Daily Planet. Dunno what you think, but it's all happening under Editor Perry White's nose. I hear that Piers Morgan is at a loose end, I know what I'd do. Piers may have a problem with bogus photos, but at least he gets some pictures. Surely, young Jimmy Olsen, the Planet's photographer, must have seen something.



Anyway...



Fast-forward to a week later. They're spotted together in Metropolis pouting at each other at an X-Men fondu extravaganza. But nothing's confirmed. I mean, pouting may look like a sure sign, but take Cat Woman - pouts like a pro but it hasn't worked on Batman. Unless it really is true about him and Robin - there have been smokey allegations for years and you know there are no smokey rumours without some firey truths somewhere at the heart of it.
